Easter Brunch Inspiration.

Menu Ideas:
Egg, Mushroom, Bacon Tart: Next up, yummy tarts! Using a tart pan and pie crust or pre-made crusts, fill it up with bacon, feta, mushrooms, and an egg and you’re good to go. (Recipe and photo: Amateur Cook Professional Eater)

Eggs in Chili Clouds: We like to think of this one as a reconstructed egg. You separate the yolks from the whites and whip the whites into chili clouds with parmesan, chili pepper, and any other herbs you like. Return the yolk to the white and bake! (Recipe and photo: Kitchen Tested)

Sweet Potato and Eggs Breakfast Hash: For a more autumnal take on eggs, pair them with  sweet potatoes, applewood smoked bacon, and thyme. (Recipe and photo: Snixy Kitchen)

makes one drink
1 part chilled carrot juice
1 part fresh squeezed orange juice
3-4 parts champagne or prosecco sparkling wine — (sub ginger ale or fizzy cider for virgin bunnies)
dash of cayenne
garnish: orange slices
Mix and serve in chilled champagne glasses.

Table Ideas:
Loving the color scheme.

Spring Shoes: Low-Heel Sandals.

In recent post this month I covered a little bit of spring- a recent shopping spree at J.Crew and my spring beauty essentials. Even though I yet to put away my winter coats since NYC temperatures feel nothing like spring weather, I know pretty soon one morning were going to wake up to warmth and lots of sunshine. That being said, if your a New Yorker like myself the most important part of your outfit is what's on your feet- Comfort and style being the most important factors. Which is why I am kind of obsessed with the the low-heel sandal trend this season. It's the perfect amount of height to slim your silhouette but not too high that feet hate you at the end of the day. So here are a few of my favorite low-heel sandals I've seen so far this season. Happy sandal shopping!

J.Crew Spring Sale Purchases.

I might of had a tiny shopping spree this week at J.Crew even though I am trying very hard to quit my habit. With the 30% off storewide sale for card members happening right now- how could I not? This is the best time to buy those staple pieces that you know are never going to go on sale. Like.... A chambray shirt for spring (below) which is going to not replace but replenish my chambray shirt I bought over a year ago and have literally worn a million times (seen here). Not only does it work with everything in my closet but it is such a good alternative to a white button up. J.Crews new short sleeve chambray this season was a no brainer. My second favorite item from last spring that I lived in was my purple cotton no.2 pencil skirt. It's so easy and looks great with flats or heels-- A huge plus in my book. This season I added the color mango to my closet and surprisingly the color looks really awesome against my skin tone. Now if NYC would actually warm up and start feeling like spring outside it would make me so happy so I can debut my new purchases! Happy J.Crew shopping! Click here to shop.

DIY: Chalkboard Wine Glasses.

What You'll Need:
-  As many wine glasses as you'd like to decorate (I purchased a set of 4 at TJ Maxx for $8)
-  1" or 2" Flat Paint brush (I used one similar to the one here)
-  Small can of Chalkboard Paint
-  Chalk

Directions:
Wash and dry glasses. Dip your paintbrush so that there is enough paint to make one or two smooth strokes per glass. Let dry at least 3-4 hours before applying a second coat. Once you
apply your second coat let dry another 3-4 hours. Easiest project ever!
