Spring Shoes: Low-Heel Sandals.

In recent post this month I covered a little bit of spring- a recent shopping spree at J.Crew and my spring beauty essentials. Even though I yet to put away my winter coats since NYC temperatures feel nothing like spring weather, I know pretty soon one morning were going to wake up to warmth and lots of sunshine. That being said, if your a New Yorker like myself the most important part of your outfit is what's on your feet- Comfort and style being the most important factors. Which is why I am kind of obsessed with the the low-heel sandal trend this season. It's the perfect amount of height to slim your silhouette but not too high that feet hate you at the end of the day. So here are a few of my favorite low-heel sandals I've seen so far this season. Happy sandal shopping!

Gift Guide: Under $30.

via
Christmas is probably my favorite time of the year. There is nothing I love more than going to all the stores during the holidays and checking out all the cool stuff to blow your money on! The part that makes me the most sad is when people dread going Christmas shopping because they struggle finding the perfect gift.
This is where my expertise comes in. Shopping for other people (aka: gift giving) can be a pretty grueling process because people are picky these days (I'm guilty). Not to mention retailers love to overwhelm us with so many options. (It's called competition-- but im not mad about it.)
So in hopes to make your christmas shopping a little less stressful, I'm going to start a little "Gift Guide" series of posts that breaks down all of my favorite finds right now. (However if you need someone to do all your Christmas shopping for you-- I am your girl. Now I just have to figure out how to turn this into a gig in NYC. (Awww - Spending someone elses money on cool stuff = Dream Job!) Anywho, stay tuned because more "Gift Guide" posts are in the works. One week until Christmas-- Shoppers start your engines!
GIFTS UNDER $30
(Who doesn't love Stila lip glaze? It is what they are known for. Just one of these (that is not much bigger) would normally cost $22. Such a steal! I actually bought one for myself when they first came out so I will be stocked for the year.)

J.Crew: Wool-Angora Colorblock Gloves - $25 (On Sale: Orig $38)

Recent Purchase Loves.

OKAY! I've gone a little wild lately with the online shopping but its starting to get chilly in NYC and somehow I have nothing to wear. A few fall wardrobe updates never hurt anybody right?
(The new factory site just launched yesterday. Free shipping and up to 40% off in celebration. Be sure to check it out here.)

J.Crew: Eadie Wallet - $79.99 (on sale now).

Kate Spade: Gigantic Swiss Dot Tights - $32
(Fun way to jazz up your basic black skirts and dresses.)

ASOS: Top with Tutu Peplum - $30.78 (on sale now).
(I really need statement tops since all I buy are basics for work. Love the color and peplum of course.)

Trend Alert: Green With Envy.

With colors so coveted at the moment, I thought I would do a post on one of my favorite colors of the moment- GREEN.  Not only is it everywhere right now but its also one of the colors I seem to be lacking in my wardrobe. With that being said, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for anything that gets me giddy and green. Here's what I found...prepare to be green with envy.

WHAT I FOUND:

Earrings: F21 - $6

HOW I WORE IT:

Strappy Sandal Showcase.

For the past week I've been on the lookout for a flat neutral sandal for summer.  I wanted something that was comfortable (flat), easy to dress up or down, and reasonably priced since they will most likely end up in the trash after a season of wear in NYC.  I put together these boards below of my favorite finds  so you can shop the looks too. I know I said I was shopping for a neutral color sandal but as you can see I got a little distracted by other glorious sandal trends that I could not help but post. I ended up purchasing style 3 on my neutral board from Zara-- For $50, I've got nothing to lose. Also, Zara has Free 2-4 day Shipping, plus free returns... Can't beat that!  Happy shopping!

Monogram Me.

As you have probably have already figured out by now... I love myself a good monogram. It's personal, preppy and made only for you. I would monogram everything I own and in my house if I wasn't scared that it would make people just feel uncomfortable and weird around me...So I'm going to hold off until I at least have a family and then I will just go wild decorating everything I buy for my future kiddies. I'm pretty sure I will have them decked out with monograms from their hair bows to their socks. God bless them on their first day of school. Ha... But since that isn't at least for 5 more years from now, here are some of my favorite monogramed things and a little inspiration I found online.

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

Trend Alert: Printed Pumps.

Colorful prints are always in for spring and summer but this year designers have gone crazy with the print trend--all the way down to our feet! But Im not mad about it at all. I love the idea of making my shoes the focal point of my outfit by pairing printed pumps with my basics for an easy but stylish look. They would be perfect to throw on before work on a morning when your running late and not sure what to wear.
Another benefit to this trend: Instead of updating your look with a handbag that no one will see under your desk at work all day--- you can get your trend on by flaunting a pair of pretty printed pumps around the office. Of course my favs are a little bit too pricey so I found more affordable options for the broke fashionista like myself. With all the different prints I've seen online, there is definitely a pair for everyone to express their own personal style. Now get to shopping so I can pay my bills!
