Trend Alert: Green With Envy.

With colors so coveted at the moment, I thought I would do a post on one of my favorite colors of the moment- GREEN.  Not only is it everywhere right now but its also one of the colors I seem to be lacking in my wardrobe. With that being said, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for anything that gets me giddy and green. Here's what I found...prepare to be green with envy.

Trend Alert: Printed Pumps.

Colorful prints are always in for spring and summer but this year designers have gone crazy with the print trend--all the way down to our feet! But Im not mad about it at all. I love the idea of making my shoes the focal point of my outfit by pairing printed pumps with my basics for an easy but stylish look. They would be perfect to throw on before work on a morning when your running late and not sure what to wear.
Another benefit to this trend: Instead of updating your look with a handbag that no one will see under your desk at work all day--- you can get your trend on by flaunting a pair of pretty printed pumps around the office. Of course my favs are a little bit too pricey so I found more affordable options for the broke fashionista like myself. With all the different prints I've seen online, there is definitely a pair for everyone to express their own personal style. Now get to shopping so I can pay my bills!

Trend Alert: Pop Of Color - Jewelry.

In my recent Pop of Color - Handbags post I mentioned I would try to do a post on jewelry. Well I didn't just do my research for this post but I did a little spending.... Okay, not a little, a lot!!! Don't judge me... But I made a few online purchases last week and then again in the store today after my interview. I got a little out of control but I blame it on the money my parents sent me for Valentines day and mostly I blame it on pinterest. If pinterest would quit giving me so many styling ideas and the convenience of being a able to purchase everything at the click of a button, non of this would have happened. But I also wouldn't have these bomb new pieces to add to my jewel collection and to accessorize literally my whole spring wardrobe. Okay, I know your getting jealous now but you don't have to be because I am giving you all the details below of where you can go to buy every piece; And they are all so cheap! But don't look cheap of course, this is what I do best--- I have an expensive eye and a poor girls budget. Don't think I'm trying to be cheap all the time though...  I just really don't believe is spending a lot of money on trendy pieces. Thats why we have stores like H&M and F21. I think accessories are a great way to  revamp and style up your spring and summer staples and a safe call if you aren't confident about the cheaper stores fit and quality. Plus, Accessorizing makes getting dressed a lot more fun thats for sure. So I say... Bring on the bling because a girl can never have too much of it!

F21: Neon Yellow Bracelet - $10.80. Blue Beaded Bracelet & Necklace - $5.80, Orange & Pink Rope Necklace- $10.80.
J.Crew: Blue & Orange Bracelets - $25 each

Ps. My DIY Acrylic Tray sure is coming in handy as a prop for my product shots. I knew I would find a way to make this decorative piece useful!

Trend Alert: Pop Of Color - Handbags.

Obvi-- Color blocking is so in for spring and it makes me so happy!! Actually, I'm just overly excited that color is probably the biggest trend of the season in general this year. Last year, I seriously felt like I was the only person in New York that had something in their wardrobe besides black. Yes, even during the dead of summer I was that girl who looked like I had just got off from working my shift at the carnival walking around Manhattan. Even if your not the type to go all out with this trend you have to at least accessorize a few pieces in your wardrobe.  You can add color with a scarf, a chunky necklace, shoes and even your handbag. I could post so many things wonderful and affordable accessories that would be great to add to your outfit, but today Im going to focus on handbags.... Because every girl has to carry one of these.  All of the bags below would work perfect if you are wanting to add another color element to a sleek colorblock look or if you are just wanting to jazz up a more neutral look for spring. Did I mention these are all under $50 too?? ... Now get to shopping!
H&M: All Bags - $24.95

Spring 2011 Beauty Products Must-Haves.

If theres one thing you learn about style when your on a budget... Its how to accessorize.  Luckily, lip color and nail colors are such an accessory now days.  You can update almost any look for spring by adding a pop of color to your nails and lips... And the best part- Its affordable and on trend this season! My best advice is to spend a few more dollars on a name brand instead of experimenting with 2 or 3 cheaper products from the drugstore... I promise it will save you money in the end.

So here are some of my personal favorite products that are on trend for spring and worthy of purchase:
Hot Pink Lips
MAC Girl About Town Lipstick ($14.50 for 0.10 oz.) is a vibrant shade of darkened, bright fuchsia pink. It has an amplified creme finish, which makes it a very creamy, opaque shade. This classic pink from MAC is a personal new favorite of mine and is said to be the best seller from the family of pinks.  I can't believe this was my first Mac Lipstick purchase because it's such a great product that stays on for hours. Oh and only $15... Which is cheap for brand makeup and probably why Mac's lipsticks is their best selling item. Want more pink? Check out Maggie’s post: Pretty in Pink
Playful Nail Colors
Here's another budget friendly and trendy way to add some fun to your look for spring! The turquoise blue pictured below is my personal favorite that I just bought last week.  I actually found the whole Nicole by OPI- Justin Bieber line at Walgreens for $7.00. Nicole is a great line by Opi that has some wild new colors out. Other personal favorite brands are Essie and Opi. You can't go wrong with there colors and how well they stay on for $ 8.00 each.
You can get Alexa Chungs nail color at Essie: Mint Candy Apple
