So Leighton Meester is probably my new favorite celeb; as if my blog didn't already make it obvious enough. Anyways, I had to post these pictures from her Marie Claire UK feature in the December 2010 issue. So they are kind of old but the photographer knows whats up...So stunning!

New Favorite Song.
So I know I've blogged about 'Country Strong' in an earlier post, but I had to post this video because it was by far the best movie I've seen since 'Walk the Line.' If you don't like country music, you probably won't be a crazy fan like me, but you have to at least fall in love with the story, message and Leighton Meester (Chiles) and Garrett Hedlund's (Beau) on screen chemistry. Here's a video of one of my favorite songs from the movie and a constant reminder of why I want to move to Nashville and marry a musician. Watch and fall in love!
Macy's Paper Dress Window Display
Designed by fashion design, fine arts, industrial design and interior design students from Pratt in New York, the work is part of an exhibition that was on view at Pucci's Gallery Nine Showroom in December 2010. ONLY IN NEW YORK, do people make dresses from paper!

It's Rodeo Time Ya'll!
Sadly, I am not in Texas this year for Rodeo Season. It's probably one of my favorite things of the year in Texas. Country music, boots, spurs, horses, mustaches, big goofy hats, flower pearl snap shirts, and cowboys! It is the ultimate people watching- down home experience. Need I say more?
And let me tell you... the leather, the fringe, the boots, the tassled vest, terquoise jewlery and a big silver monogrammed (or Branded) belt buckle is always in style. During the rodeo my friends and I bring out our western gear to blend in with the true cowboys/cowgirls because the style is actually kind of awesome and iconic. Don't jump to conclusions and assume that we really wear this gear year around but for the few weeks during rodeo season, you could say, "She's Gone Country."
But enough about the rodeo, its making me depressed that I am missing it this year..... Lets talk Ralph Lauren SS2011 Runway show. I mean really, I die. RL is a genius and he doesn't even have to try. We've been seeing his rugged but feminine Wild West meets Durango chic style for years in his home collection and now he has finally brought it to the runway with a BANG! or should I say, a YE-HAW! Whether you dig the western look or not... (A lot of people don't, I get it; Its not for everyone)... You have to give it to RL for making country look so classy!

Jcrew SS2011
I always love Jcrews spring and summer collection over their winter collection; but the 2011 collection takes the cake! Its so great and some of the pieces could be worn in the fall as well! I'll take one of each please... Hurry up warm weather.

Peace out 2010.
Can you believe its already 2011. I am still in shock that the new year is already upon us, a new decade at that. So to start the new year off, I thought I would post the new "United State of Pop 2010" mix which features all of the top songs of 2010 in remembrance of the year. It might not be that greatest at first because a lot of these songs are still being played on the radio consistently, but give it a few months and you'll be obsessed with listening to it as it takes you down memory lane. I still listen to the 2009 and 2008 mixes. Its funny how much a song can remind you of a specific memory, place, event or time you shared with someone. Gosh, I love that about music!
